Privacy
Your recordings, scripts and voices stay on your Mac. They leave it only when you send them: a YouTube upload, your own voice server, your own Claude Code.
What we keep for your trial and key
- Your email: for your trial, your key, or the old waitlist.
- A machine id: a one-way hash, so a trial or seat sticks to one Mac.
- Your Mac's name, so you can tell your seats apart.
- The IP address of your last trial request.
- Dates: trial start, purchase, last check.
Usage counts from the app
The app sends a few anonymous counts, so we can see whether people use it. Each one carries:
- An install id: a random number made on first launch, not taken from your Mac's hardware.
- The app version and the macOS version.
- What happened: the app opened, a voice line was made (and with which voice engine), an export finished, or a project was created.
- For an export: its length in steps (under 30 seconds, 30 to 60 seconds, 1 to 3 minutes, over 3 minutes), whether it had the watermark, and MP4, GIF or other.
- When the app opens: how many projects you have, in steps (0, 1 to 2, 3 to 10, over 10).
They never include file names, text, paths, titles, voice names, your key or your email. We don't store your IP address with them.
To stop them, choose Settings in the StageMaster menu and turn off Share anonymous usage counts.
